Brenta Dolomites - The access valleys and paths. Valle di Tovel About 17 km in length, the valley is of interest not just for its lake but also for the Flavona biotope and the numerous malgas or shepherd’s huts. From Lake Tóvel as far as the Bocca Vallazza pass the valley is known as the Santa Maria Flavona Valley. It is bounded in the east by the imposing Campa Group (south-eastern subgroup of the Brenta Dolomites) and in the west by the formidable barrier of the peaks of the Northern Chain of the Brenta Dolomites: Cima Uomo, Cima delle Livezze, Sasso Rosso, Cima Sassara, Cima del Vento, Corno di Denno, Cima Flavona and Pietra Grande. The main river is the Rio Tresenga. |
